Your health insurance plan uses a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) when seeking treatment in the United States. The PPO will depend on when you purchased your plan, and your home country and/or citizenship. The network your plan uses is indicated on your insurance ID card.
PLEASE NOTE — When outside the USA, before you seek treatment it is VERY IMPORTANT that you call WorldTrips prior going to the doctor using the number listed on the back of your insurance ID card. They will be able to help find a provider close to you and can call ahead to make sure the provider is setup and they will accept direct billing. If you do not call ahead or seek treatment outside of the network, you may be required to pay for your medical expenses up front and then submit a claim for reimbursement.
When contacting a US provider that is in-network, be sure to let them know what provider network your plan uses. The provider's office will only recognize the name of the First Health Network or the UnitedHeatlhcare Network.
WorldTrips can be contacted 24 hours a day at (800) 605-2282 or direct at +1 (317) 262-2132.For help finding a provider in your area that accepts your plan, please contact us.
